Monument of Olympic Champion Nikola Stanchev will Be Erected
A monument of Nikola Stanchev (the first Bulgarian Olympic champion) will be erected in his home village of Tvarditza. A special committee with leader mayor of Tvarditza – Sotir Jovchev was established. Members of the committee are also Ivan Stanchev, Elena Nikolova, Simeon Ilchev, Yani Markov and arch. Nastia Dafova. The construction of the bronze monument is assigned to the sculptor Momchil Mirchev. The location of the monument will be in the center of the village. All the funds for the creation of the monument will be collected by donations. For this purpose a campaign for the popularization of the idea will be organized for collecting of money via SMS messages. There will be also charity points and bank account for donations.…
"Milka Stoeva” Children's Choir Won Second Prize in an International Festival in Turkey
"Milka Stoeva" Children's Choir of Burgas won the 2nd prize in "Youth Choirs” category in an International Festival in Antalia, Turkey. In the prestigious choral competition, which was held from the 4th to the 8th of November 15 chores from Turkey, Lithuania, Israel, Belarus and Bulgaria were presented. Burgas singers won the prize in the "Contest” part of the festival, where all choirs took part. The choir of Burgas presented 12 works, most of them based on folklore. The performers’ aim was to promote Bulgarian choral music. Solist in one of the works, presented by the, was popular artist Plamen Stavrev. Public Debate on the Impact of Mobile Operators’ Antennaes on Health to Be Held in Burgas
Regarding numerous letters and complaints by citizens about the location of the antennas of mobile operators and their influence on human health, Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov and ombudsman Tanio Atanasov are organizing a public discussion with the participation of representatives of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences , National Center for Public Health, the Commission for Regulation of Communications, University “Prof. Dr. A.Zlatarov”, NGOs as well as mobile operators’ representatives and citizens.
