Municipality Offers Solution to the Problem with Medical Care in the Settlements of Burgas

Burgas Municipality now has a solution for the problem with lack of healthcare service in the settlements of Burgas, where it is very difficult to attract GPs for work. Such settlements are Lozovo, Kraimorie and Marinka. The three premises currently used for general healthcare practices there are in extremely poor conditions and do not meet the requirements of the Institute for Public Healthcare and Control. 128 Municipal Properties Reconstructed in Burgas during 2009

Since the beginning of the year 128 municipal properties have been reconstructed in Burgas: 62 residential, 32 non-residential and 34 administrative buildings and sites. By the end of the year the reconstruction of 10 other sites is to be completed. The total value of repairs from January to October 2009 is BGN 157 500. Municipality is Looking for Options to Facilitate Pedestrians

In regard with citizens’ requests to restore traffic lights on the crossing next to “Miraj” Hotel, the commission for transport in Burgas municipality examined different options for facilitating pedestrians. The conclusion of the commission is, that there is no grounded reason for traffic lights to be working there and traffic will be regulated according to the vertical signs installed as is all over Europe. On “Stambolov” blvd. next to Mac Drive and Miraj hotel cross road marking is installed and existing walkways will be refreshed.
