Swimming Pool in “Konstantin Preslavski” School Renovated

After a complete reconstruction to the value of BGN 45 000, the swimming pool in “Konstantin Preslavski” school is working again. The reconstruction was financed by the Municipality of Burgas. Today, a demonstration of basic swimming skills was held there. Students of different age took part in it. Guests on the demonstration were mayor Dimitar Nikolov, his deputies Yordanka Ananieva and Loris Manuelyan, director of “Education” Dept. Vesselina Taralova, Chief of “Sports” Dept. Metal Letters Stolen for Scrap

Magdalena Karastoyanova, director of municipal “Ritual Complex” enterprise alarned, that in the cemetery park of Burgas metal letters have been stolen from the gravestones. During the last months criminal activity is increasing, probably because of the crisis. During the previous week mayor Dimitar Nikolov ordered inspection on all the 42 waste collection points in Burgas, that deal with metals. They are made because of the frequent thefts of cables that often cause problems with electricity.   The inspections are made by representatives of the municipal “Economic and business activities” and “Crisis management, public order and security” departments. School Classes in Dolno Ezerovo Suspended Because of the Rain

Showers caused floods in the quarter of Dolno Ezerovo. The water descended from the gully next to the local school. The showers affected also the electricity system in the quarter and the steam heating installation at “Hristo Botev” school in the quarter. On the 8th and 9th of February /Monday and Tuesday/ the classes will be suspended. All children and parents are notified about that. Yesterday at 10 p.m. people living in the nearby houses were evacuated. At 4 a.m. teams of the Population Safety Service drove people to work. “Nikola Stanchev” Sports Hall with Prolonged Working Time

Because of the high interest, “Nikola Stanchev” sports hall in “Meden rudnik” will work with prolonged time - from 8.00 to 00.00 h.    Opened nearly five months ago, the new modern sports complex in the biggest quarter of Burgas is highly attended. It can be either used by citizens, or for training of clubs, holding of competitions and other public events.  The sports complex offers a big multi-functional hall, convenient for various sports: volleyball, basketball, handball, mini soccer and a smaller one, that offers fitness, table tennis, yoga, folk and latin dances.   A week ago the hall obtained new facilities for basketball, volleyball, handball, mini soccer.   For more detailed information…
