Payment of Local Taxes Now Possible in “Meden Rudnik”

Starting March 1st, “Local Revenue from Taxes and Advertisement” municipal department opened a cashier desk in “Meden Rudnik”. It was opened for the sake of convenience of the residents of the biggest residential quarter of Burgas and the neighbouring “Pobeda”, “Akatsiite” and “Gorno Ezerovo”. By now citizens of Burgas could pay their municipal obligation only in the cashier hall on “Aleksandrovska” 83 St. The Municipality of Burgas intends to gradually open offices for collection of taxes in the other territorial directorates of the town, too. Untraditional Way to Say NO to Nylon Bags

“Prosveta” community centre and 3rd grade students from “Hristo Botev” elementary school in Dolno Ezerovo decorated a tree in an untraditional way - with polythene bags. They are in red and white – on the occasion of the 1st of March /Baba Marta/. Nylon and plastics are shiny and beautiful, but very harmful to nature. With this untraditional decoration the residents of Dolno Ezerovo expressed their support to the eco campaign of the Municipality of Burgas “Be a Friend of Burgas!”. It aims at suspension of usage of nylon bags and their replacement with such made of nature-friendly materials. Traditional Ladies Rally for the Women’s Day in Burgas

A traditional ladies rally, dedicated to the Women’s Day, will be held on the 6th of March in Burgas. Organizers of the event are the Municipality of Burgas, the Bulgarian Motorists Union – Burgas and Motor Sports Club “Elena Team”.     On March 6th, at 11.00 a.m. the ladies of Burgas will have the opportunity to prove, that they are not worse drivers than men. The objective of the initiative is to demonstrate skilful, rather than fast driving. Traditionally  the race will be on the parking lot in front of “Praktiker” in “Slaveykov”. A Laboratory on wheels measures the quality of air in Burgas

A research concerning the quality of air by the so called "passive samplers" method is conducted in Burgas from 1st March until 12th March. The research would give information for the impact of the pollution from different sources in the region of Buurgas. The research data would serve as a tool for determining the places where a new mobile laboratory will be suited for monitoring the quality of air in the region. The tender documents for its purchasing are being worked up at the moment. The Municipality of Burgas  is going to obtain these papers and bring it into use probably in the middle of the year. Competition for performance of Bulgarian professional music "Varban Varbanov" will be held from 5th March until 7th March In Burgas

The 20th issue of the National Competition for performance of Bulgarian professional music "Varban Varbanov" will be held from 5th March until 7th March 2010  in the city of Burgas. The competition has been founded and orgaznized by the National School for Musical and Stage Art "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" since 1964. It is held with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas,  The Ministry of Culture, District Administration- Burgas and School Board " Home music". The competiton rules include participants in two categories- students from the general schools, children's musical forums, private teachers, students from the art schools of The Ministry of Culture. On the National Holiday all the museums in Burgas are going to offer a free entrance.

On 3rd March 2010 all the exhibitions of the Regional Museums- Burgas- Archeological, Ethnograohic. Historical and Natural Science will work from 10 AM to 3 PM ( free entrance).
