Everyone with a ticket for “Burgas and the Sea” music festival will receive at the entrance of the open air theatre of Burgas a sailor’s T-shirt and a songbook with the lyrics of songs, included in the contest programme.

The news was announced on a press conference by the Director of “Culture, Marketing & PR” Dept. at Burgas Municipality Vessela Yordanova and director of municipal enterprise “Summer Theatre, Festivals & Concerts” Mihail Kutsev. Together with two other members of the organizing team – Gergana Ilieva from the Municipality of Burgas and Tony Dimcheva from Stefkos Music.

 The new things in the 27th edition of “Burgas and the Sea” are:

- Sailor’s T-shirts

This year organizers decided to hand out sailor’s t-shirts to all guests of the Festival. They will wear the t-shirts during the TV broadcast of the festival. For a second year “Burgas and the Sea” will be broadcasted live on BTV on August 1st . The second night /August 2nd/ will be recorded and broadcasted in September.

- Songbooks

With every ticket a songbook will the lyrics of all 15 songs, included in the contest programme will be handed out for audience to sing together with performers.

- Concert of SNAP on August 1st

- Concert of Vassil Naydenov on August 2nd

- Karaoke

During the second night of the festival big karaoke screens will be installed on several spots in Burgas: the Clock, “Troykata” square, on the intersect between “Bogoridi” and “Tsar Simeon I” streets, the Terrace in the Sea garden and next to the Open air theatre.  People of Burgas will sing together the emblematic for Burgas song “Ah, moreto”.

- Journalists’ Top 5

This year journalists will also have the opportunity to make their own ranking of songs in the contest. Journalists can send their rankings to the press office of the municipality at media@burgas.bg . Special honorary statuette will be provided for the journalists’ favourite song.

- Organising team

This year “Burgas and the Sea” is organized by a team from the Municipality of Burgas. TV1 with Roumen Kovatchev is in charge of TV broadcasting. Scriptwriter is Ivaylo Valchev – son of the poet Vanyo Valchev. Art director is Atanas Genov.

Hosts of the event will be Tony Dimitrova and Assen Blatechky.

First place winner in the festival will be awarded BGN 20 000. The second and third winners will be awarded respectively BGN 12 000 and BGN 6000.

Tickets can be bought on the cashier’s desk of “Adriana Budevska” theatre. Price: BGN 10-16.
