After a complete reconstruction to the value of BGN 45 000, the swimming pool in “Konstantin Preslavski” school is working again. The reconstruction was financed by the Municipality of Burgas.
Today, a demonstration of basic swimming skills was held there. Students of different age took part in it. Guests on the demonstration were mayor Dimitar Nikolov, his deputies Yordanka Ananieva and Loris Manuelyan, director of “Education” Dept. Vesselina Taralova, Chief of “Sports” Dept. Vesselina Devedzhieva and regional expert on physical education Ivo Yanakiev.
The swimming pool was not working during the last three years. It is 17 m long, 8 m wide and 1.7 m deep.
Its ventilation system was repaired, new lightings were installed, joinery and faience were replaced. Now hundreds of children will learn how to swim there.
Mayor Nikolov stated his willingness to reconstruct the pool in another school - “Konstantin Petkanov” in “Meden Rudnik” by the end of this year.
