* Municipality broadcasts the opening of tenders on the Internet

15 companies bid  in the tender for implemention of the project "Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the pedestrian zone, street network, Seaside Park and public spaces in the central part of Bourgas".  

A committee of municipal officials and outside experts checked whether the  full documentation is provided. A viewing of tenders will be done later.  

For the first time today the meeting was broadcasted directly on the Internet. This pilot initiative of the Bulgarian municipalities will become a common practice in Burgas.  

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and his deputies decided that all the events, that are held at the conference hall of the city hall will be broadcasted live, in case the law allows that.

Access to the broadcast will be through the municipal website www.burgas.bg, after clicking on "Live from the conference room in the Municipality" section.

 The names of 15 companies, participating in the contest were announced:

4 of them will be selected to execute the 4 separate strands of the project:
 

1. Reconstruction, development and landscaping of the pedestrian zone Alexandrovska Street - from Square Queen Joanna to Troikata Square, incl. St. St. Cyril and Methodius sq.  

 

2. Reconstruction of General Gurko and Adam Mickiewicz Streets - Burgas.

 

3. Development and landscaping of the Seaside Park - the new part, restoration of decorative "Wall of fairy tales" and the water mirror in the Seaside Park.

 

4. Development and reconstruction of the playground near Social-Care Home "Hope", quarter of "Republic", Building II, 172 sq., and the space between the Ivan Vazov Blvd., Khan Krum and Tsar Peter Streets.
