First Balkan Beatbox Championship will be held on 31st of August in Burgas

The city of Burgas will host at First Balkan Beatbox Championship, that will be held on 31st of August, on Open - air stage , nearby Cultural center "Sea casino". Some of the best beatbox artists of Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries will stand against each other in a battles, that will еnsure the quota for the World Beatbox Championship. The competition will be divided in two parts. First part will be held online in the facebook page of the event. Everyone, who want to take part, have to present video clip of personal beatbox performance with duration of 60 to 90 sec. On August 4-5, the National Roller Festival will be held in Burgas

This weekend, 4th and 5th of August, the 7th edition of the National Roller Festival will be held in Burgas. The aim is to promote this sport among small and large, as a way to healthy and enjoyable leisure time, to develop social contacts between young people and last but not least to allow many citizens of Burgas and their friends to doing what they love - doing roller coasters together. The opening is on August 4 at 11:00 am at the Pantheon Monument in the Sea Garden. It will be accompanied by a tour of the Sea Garden with roller skates, skateboards, lobbies and bicycles. Beautiful young women play beautiful old music - on August 2 at the Flora Expo Center,

On August 2, at 7 pm, Hall 2 of Expo Center "Flora" will hold a summer classical concert. His guests will enjoy a program that includes works by J. Brahms, I. Frolov, B. Bartok, P. Vladigerov and E. Bloch in the elegant performance of Angelina Nalbantova - violin and Margarita Ilieva - piano. The entrance is free. Professor Stoyan Kralev - honorary Burgas and a famous choral conductor died

From the capital came the sad news that Professor Stoyan Petrov Kralev died. He is an honorary citizen of Burgas since 1988 and a famous conductor. His work is associated with the upsurge in the choir art of Bourgas in the 60s of the last century. Then the singing forces of the town were united in a single formation, which gave birth to the Born Song Song Choir of Burgas Municipality. This is what Stoyan Kralev, a conductor, pedagogue and public figure, who with skill, patience and inspiration leads the composition to high performance peaks. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov expresses his condolences to his relatives, friends, colleagues and followers. Rest in peace!  

The participants in the 46th edition of the International Folklore Festival were nominated

The participants in the 46th edition of the International Folklore Festival have already been selected by the Selection Committee. 47 candidates from all over the world had expressed their willingness to participate in this year's edition of the traditional festival for Burgas.  The approved 11 members are from Georgia, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary, China, Russia and Bulgaria.  The clubs have already confirmed their participation and are expected to arrive in Burgas. This year the International Folklore Festival will be held in the period 20-24 August.

Repair of the contact nets stops from moving T1 and T2

Repairs and prophylaxis of the contact networks stop the T1 and T2 trolley lines from moving. Due to the fact that the maintenance of the equipment can not be carried out under voltage, it is necessary for "Burgasbus" to disconnect the power supply in the contact nets and to temporarily discontinue the service of the trolley lines. It is envisaged to schedule it as follows: - from 04.08 to 27.08.2018 - line T2 - from 24.08 to 10.09.2018 - line T1  

Dance formation "Petlite" returned with Grand Prix from the International Festival in Frankfurt

The children of "Petlite" have returned to their native Burgas after their success on the international stage - for the participation in the INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL - FRANKFURT, GERMANY 2018 The festival was held on 26 and 27 July in the cultural center of Frankfurt-Main-Germany. The talents of the dance formation have impressed the jury with its brilliant and emotional performance. This summer, the dance group will present its latest Gypsy performance in several Black Sea towns - Aheloy - August 6, Pomorie - August 7, Chernomoretz - August 10, Kiten - August 11, Primorsko - August 12 and Tsarevo - August 13. All shows will start at 20.30 on summer scenes or in front of the Municipalities of the respective cities free of charge.  

Grandpa Nichola celebrates 100 years with cake and folk songs

100th anniversary celebrates today in the retirement club of the port of Nikola Mechev in Burgas. "If you are with me on my birthday, then we have friendship for a century. I wish you to reach my years and enjoy life." With these words, the rookie turned to the guests of the celebration. They congratulated him with performances of Strandja folk songs. Burgas top mathematicians with gold, silver and bronze from the most prestigious mathematical competition in the world

Burgas mathematicians won a gold, silver and bronze medal from international Olympiads in Mathematics and Mathematical Linguistics. In the individual ranking gold medal in the Mathematical Linguistics Competition, which was held in Prague, won Victor Baltin. From Romania with silver in Burgas returned Konstantin Garov and bronze Atanas Dinev. All three are alumni of the "Obrachkov" Secondary School in Burgas. And while Viktor has two more years to complete his secondary education, Konstantin Garov and Atanas Dinev have already been admitted to two of the most prestigious universities in the world - Oxford and Princeton, where they will continue to study mathematics.
