A total of 22 schools and nearly 13,000 students from Burgas will take part in the first edition of the campaign to motivate separate collection and recycling "Ecochampions". The campaign covers all students from grades 1 to 12 from registered schools and aims to engage students and their families to collect their waste separately. It is organized by ECOPACK Bulgaria - the largest organization for the recovery of packaging waste in the country, in close partnership with the Municipality of Burgas and with the special assistance of Decathlon, the brand for sports products, accessories, equipment and experience that makes sports accessible. most people.
One winner of the campaign will be announced in Burgas - the school that conducted the most lessons and handed over the largest amount of plastic and aluminum packaging. All participating schools will also receive incentive prizes. By November 30, 2021, students from schools registered to participate in the campaign must collect and submit for recycling empty packaging of plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
