Automated devices "catch" daily floating waste near three ports in Burgas. They are located near the fishing ports in Chengene Skele and the Sarafovo and Kraimorie neighborhoods. Automated devices, which are very similar to buckets, are designed to cope with the tide. Their volume is 100 liters. They are extremely effective and the results are visible.
Another activity implemented within the project was the implementation of the "Plan to limit the use of single-use plastic products in the buildings and premises of the Municipal Council and Municipal Administration - Burgas", in order to reduce the generated plastic waste and increase local knowledge. Dispensers for water filtration were installed in 30 municipal buildings.
Together with the partners from the "Blue Army" educational campaigns were organized among 750 students in 5 Burgas schools. Numerous lectures and workshops, with the active participation of Burgas children and the generation of various ideas with eco-orientation, were held jointly with the Chance for the Children of Bulgaria Foundation.
The duration of the project was 14 months.
