In its first official match for the new season, the Burgas “Chernomorets” definitely defeated the Plovdiv “Academic” at home with 80:66 points. The team played well, despite the absence of captain Konstantin Koev and Georgi Boyanov, who have minor injuries. Only in the third quarter was the match more equal. But in the last part Burgas pressed hard and showed that with the new additions and the longer bench this year they will play at high speed until the end of each match.
The victory against “Academic” is sweet, because it was this team that stopped “Chernomorets” last year in the playoff quarterfinal series for the title in the home championship.
