Over the next 4 months, 97 students from three universities in the city will receive municipal semester scholarships. This was approved after a record number of students applied for financial incentives for their studies this year – 309 compared to last year, when the applicants were 116. Scholarships during the summer semester will be awarded to 64 students at the University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov", 24 from the Free University of Burgas and 9 from the National Academy of Arts – the Burgas branch. The purpose of the municipal program "Successful students" for student scholarships is to keep young people in the city, increase their motivation for learning and development, support their implementation in the labour market and provide qualified personnel for the most popular specialties.
