All Burgas students in full-time education with a grade of and above 5.00 can apply for a municipal scholarship by March 15. Since the beginning of the second semester, 39 students have applied for a scholarship under the municipal program to stimulate education. "In this way we want to stimulate successful students to continue to study and develop so that they can then be developed themselves in our city," said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. Burgas is the only city in the country that was the first to develop its own program to stimulate students studying in higher education institutions on its territory.
The first 106 Burgas students have already received their scholarships in the autumn of last year. They study in the three Burgas universities. The largest number was at the University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov ”- 74, followed by the Burgas Free University with 32 students and 10 young people studying at the National Academy of Arts in Burgas.
