The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, in cooperation with the local government of Yantai city, China, and Municipality of Burgas announces a children's art competition on topic "Dreams of Europe and China". The project is organized annually since 2011 by the People's Republic of China in collaboration with European countries. The final goal of the competition is the joint exhibition of children's artworks entitled "Dreams of Europe and China", which is presenting the future vision of the children from the two continents.
The city of Burgas, which is a twin city of Yantai since 2004, has been chosen to take participation at this year's edition of the prestigious competition. The competition aims to provoke and encourage the Bulgarian children's interest to the richness of the Chinese culture by giving them the opportunity to become part of an international event participating in the attractive exhibition. The task of the children from Burgas will be to draw their vision of China or the city of Yantai, while the Chinese children will paint Bulgaria. The competition is open to children of all ages, with an unlimited number of drawings and no limitations in the technique used (pencil, pastel, watercolor, tempera, ink, collage, etc.). Each participant will receive a gift and a certificate for participation from Burgas Municipality.
Burgas Municipality will accept the art works until 21.05.2018. (incl.), after which all drawings will be sent electronically to China and will be placed in the general panel of the exhibition. The official opening will take place in July in Yantai City.
"Dreams of Europe and China" art exhibition will take participation in cultural events of other Chinese cities too, which aims to promote Bulgaria and in particular the city of Burgas and the talented Burgas children.
