The hackathon has an important contribution to the development of the IT community in Burgas. The additional expected effects are the formation of teams of people who complement each other as knowledge and skills to continue working on projects after the event.
There is no limit to the technologies, libraries, platforms and programming languages used. Teams need to submit a prototype of their product that has at least one working functionality or a clear application concept with partially written source code. On the last day of the hackathon – Sunday, October 17 – representatives of the teams will demonstrate their applications to a jury.
Eligible participants are teams of at least two people, which can be formed both in advance and at the beginning of the hackathon. It is mandatory for at least one member of the team to have programming knowledge, regardless of the level and experience in the field of software development.
There will be prizes for all participants, which are provided by the sponsors of the event. The first three projects, rated the highest, will be further stimulated with surprises from the organizers.
The evaluation criteria for the applications are:
Evaluation of the idea.
Working functionality of the application.
Method of execution, quality of program code and the chosen approach.
User interface.
Application potential.
Guidelines and application ideas will be provided to those participants who do not have a preliminary concept of what they would like to develop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we use the source code of a project we started working on before the hackathon started?
It will not be fair if teams use already developed projects or ready source code. That’s why you need to start working on your ideas from scratch. You don’t have to do something completely finished or even have some functionalities of your applications working by the deadline on Sunday, October 17 from 13:00. It is more important to have a clear product concept and to have already started implementation work

Yes, it is mandatory. Pre-registration will allow us to make a better organization.
Is it obligatory to work in a team with another person, can’t I participate in the hackathon on my own?
Teamwork has always been a decisive factor in the success of a project or business venture.
