The sequel to the iconic film "Yesterday" can be seen as a multimedia theater performance titled "It Wasn’t Me" at the NHK Cultural Center on January 23rd at 7:00 PM.
The play is written by Vlado Daverov, who also authored the novel and the screenplay for the film "Yesterday." The great writer and screenwriter passed away this January. The 1988 film, directed by Ivan Andonov based on Daverov's screenplay, has become a symbol of rebellion during the 1990s.
In the theatrical performance "It Wasn’t Me," a continuation of "Yesterday," we will once again see Hristo Shopov and Sofia Kuzeva-Cherneva in the lead roles as Ivan and Dana, the characters from the film. They meet 35 years later at the same school where their story began. Their meeting is as much desired as it has been postponed, and now fate gives them a new chance to face each other and discover whether the longing from their youth is still alive or merely a part of their memories.
The play is directed by Liza Shopova. The set design is by Anelia Raykova, and the music is composed by Kiril Marichkov.
Tickets are available at the "Clock Tower" ticket office (0898420537).
