Maria Petrova is one of those people who have the unique chance to celebrate their 100th birthday. She is sunny, smiling, although she has spent the last few years in bed in front of the TV. But that way she does not miss any information. Her favorite moments are when her famous granddaughter Lyudmila Mihaylova, a soloist at the State Opera and a cellist, shows her her latest performances on video on a tablet. "She lives for the music," said her granddaughter.
On the occasion of her 100th birthday, Maria Petrova received a surprise gift and congratulations from Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. He thanked her for raising so many generations to be in love with art.
