Burgas is among the few places around the world where the holy remains of Saint Georgi the Victorious are being kept. They were a gift to the city from the monastery Xenophon in Mount Athos on the 6th of May 2016. At the moment the Christian relic is being kept in the church “St. St. Kiril and Methodius” where it is displayed indefinitely for worship.
On the 6th of May, a holy liturgy for the holiday will be carried out which will begin at 9:00 o’clock in the church. At 10:30 a prayer vigil will be done for the saint.
