A Youth Seminar on Climate Issues will be held at the Center for Young Talents on December 11. It is part of the project that started on March 1, 2024 – "SUBLIME SDGs", co-financed by the European Commission NDICI CHALLENGE/2023/448-265, and implemented by the Burgas Municipality in partnership with the Foundation "Chance for Children and Nature of Bulgaria".
The project's goal is to foster a sense of shared responsibility among EU citizens for both local and global sustainable development. The implementation aims to stimulate active citizen participation in addressing global challenges, as defined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, through local initiatives in border regions and islands within the EU.
As part of the project, a seminar is planned to attract young leaders who will actively participate in sustainable development initiatives and efforts to address climate change.
The event will proceed as follows:
Three interactive sessions that will provoke creativity and critical thinking among participants;
A meeting with inspiring speakers who will share their experiences and stories;
The opportunity to create new friendships and partnerships with like-minded people;
A chance for funding for your own project – the best ideas will be supported through a competitive selection.
The seminar will last for three hours in the morning. The exact start time and schedule will be announced a few days in advance. A certificate of absence can be issued for students.
The event is open to youth aged 18–30 who are proficient in English and ready to participate in the subsequent international phases of the project.
The seminar is scheduled to take place on December 11, 2024, at the Center for Young Talents, 4 Atanas Sirekov Street, Burgas. The registration deadline is December 8, 2024. To register, please complete the following form:
