May 20 has been chosen as European Maritime Day. It was identified as such by the European Union in 2007 as part of the organization’s integrated maritime policy. On this date, the European maritime community traditionally meets and communicates on topics related to the conservation of the biological wealth of the seas and the development of the blue economy.
