A memorial plaque to Nikola Nikolov, a military commander and former mayor of the city, was unveiled in Burgas. It is placed on the facade of his home at 44 Ferdinandova Street.
The event is a continuation of the celebration of 130 years since the establishment of the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment. Among its initiators are patriotic citizens of Burgas, officers and soldiers from the reserve.
