The students and teachers of "Anton Strashimirov" Primary School now have an upgraded and fully equipped building, where the educational process takes place in a new, modern way.
The microclimate has been significantly improved due to the installation of thermal insulation on the roofs and facades, the heating system has been replaced, and a photovoltaic system has been installed to generate electricity for self-consumption.
Completely new spaces have been created, including the architectural design of a STEM center and the utilization of the previously unused roof of building B.
The comfort and conditions for 600 student desks have been improved, with new desks and chairs provided, as well as furniture for specialized classrooms.
For the needs of teachers and students, 25 interactive whiteboards have been delivered and installed, ensuring the conditions for a new approach to teaching.
An accessible environment has been created, with relaxation areas and an attractive space for various activities on the roof of building B. Notable interior design features include rest zones and artistic façade lighting.
The activities were carried out under project No. BG-RRP-1.007-0183 "Modernization of the building and furnishings at 'Anton Strashimirov' Primary School in Burgas, including energy efficiency measures, the establishment of a STEM center, and ensuring accessibility," funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
