Primary School “Sveti Kliment Ohridski” in Burgas will mark its 140th anniversary with a series of celebratory events and festive activities. These events will take place from November 18 to 25. The program offers a variety of activities. There is great interest in the announced creative workshop featuring the writer Boyan Boev; a visit from the famous Bulgarian artist Ivan Bahchevanov—creator of some of the school’s murals; and an educational performance by Iskren Krasimirov.

There will also be exhibitions showcasing the historical development and achievements of the school, creative workshops, musical performances, and meetings with former principals, teachers, and alumni. Additionally, open lessons will be held to share effective pedagogical practices, and club presentations will be featured. The festivities will culminate on November 25, the day on which the Bulgarian Orthodox Church honors Saint Kliment Ohridski. On this day, students and teachers from “Ataturk” School in the city of Kirklareli, Turkey, with whom the Burgas school has a partnership agreement, will be visiting. At 6:00 PM, the final concert will take place at the NHK Cultural Center, hosted by actress Gergana Stoyanova, with a special performance by Stefan Ilchev. A highlight of the evening will be performances by the Children’s Folklore Ensemble “Zvezdichki,” which is celebrating its 55th anniversary!
