The honorary citizen of Burgas, athlete and long-time water polo coach Kolyo Petrov - Jonbul died. On this sad occasion, Mayor Dimitar Nikolov expressed his condolences to his relatives, friends and colleagues:
"We lost one of the founders of water polo in Burgas. The only small consolation is that Bate Kolyo managed to witness the latest successes of our teams. 2021 brought a bunch of medals to the Burgas water polo and its future is good. And Kolyo Petrov remains forever in the sports history of our city with everything he has achieved. Rest in peace!"
* The funeral will be on Tuesday, January 4.
