Huge Bugs in Burgas!

The central park of Burgas will be humped by huge bugs in the early June. This is the first performance of one of the most prominent contemporary art troupes in Europe - "Close Act" from Netherlands. They are not unknown for the citizens of Burgas since last year when they gathered thousands of people with their show "Dinosaurs". The event is a part of the third edition of the festival "Join the City". Their new incarnations are giant buzzing insects. The bugs will parade four times on the 7th and 8th of June - from 12 to 18 o'clock. Burgas Will Have New Trolleybuses

This year Burgas is the first municipality in Bulgaria, which has updated its public transport. In 2013 the city acquired 67 brand new buses and now it gradually put into operation 22 new trolleybuses of the Czech brand "Skoda". The first one has already serves passangers. Today it made a demonstration tour of the center with passengers Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, the manager of "Burgasbus" Petko Dragnev, deputy mayor Krasimir Stoychev, the chairman of the local parliament Konstantin Lukov and journalists.  Burgas Municipality provided the new trolleybuses under project "Implementation of measures for improving the quality of life in Burgas, Varna, Stara Zagora and Pleven".

"St. Anastasia" Island Welcomes Its First Guests on the 15th of May

"St. Anastasia" island opens its doors for visitors on the 15th of May. The first, who wish to see the newest tourist attraction of Burgas, will travel with the ship "Cook". The vessel has 210 passenger seats, two decks and covered restaurant area. The price of the ticket for adults is 9 leva in both directions, 6 lev for students and pensioners and its free for children under 7 years and people with disabilities.
