
"The active civil society is exceptionally important along with the improvement of the work of institutions, the making of better business conditions and the development of human resources, for boosting the public processes, which will bring positive economic and social changes". This was said by the deputy mayor of European politics and environment Atanaska Nikolova at a forum-discussion, organized by representatives of the European commission and the World Bank in Bulgaria.
The deputy mayor underlined, that the two institutions have a huge contribution for the development of the country and municipalities.
Tony Tomson, representative of the World Bank and Ognyan Zlatev, representative of the European commission in Bulgaria took special part in the discussion.
During the meeting was presented the systemic analysis of the country by the World bank and the potential of Bulgaria for steady growth and shared prosperity by the head economist from the financial institution Stela Ilieva.
Based on the assessment about the progress for achieving shared prosperity and decrease in poverty, in accordance to the goals of Bulgaria for Europe 2020 were presented the main tendencies toward the politics, which will have a beneficial transforming effect.
The accents for insurance of faster increase, presented in the analysis of the World bank were the improvement of the conditions for development of the business and attracting of serious investors, integration of the Bulgarian companies on the European market, stimulation of the innovations.
